Meet Jeanne

Jeanne Schiltz is an American artist and designer raised in Iowa.  At the age of six, she began studying classical dance and music.  As a teenager, she studied on scholarship at dance academies in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Boston, Salt Lake City, and New York City.  She performed professionally with the Richmond Ballet, and taught at various Manhattan studios, including the famous Steps on Broadway.  Jeanne's original choreography was performed by dancers from major companies such as the Metropolitan Opera Ballet and Mark Morris Dance Group.  Her comprehensive dance background sparked her interest in production design and visual storytelling.

Jeanne graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Columbia University in the City of New York with degrees in Dance and Film Studies.  Subsequently, she obtained a Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design degree from Manhattan’s acclaimed Fashion Institute of Technology.  The internationally renowned program is the only one of its kind in America.

In 2004, Jeanne began working as a freelance exhibit, event, and retail design manager in New York City.  In 2010, she relocated to her hometown of Dubuque, Iowa to be closer to family. There she founded Mind’s Eye Designs and shifted her creative focus to marketing and communications design.

Jeanne remains committed to design education and is continually developing new skills to meet the demands of a changing marketplace.  Over the years, she has earned a Basic Certificate at New York School of Interior Design and Lynda.com Certificates of Completion in the latest design software.

Jeanne enjoys writing, and is currently designing an illustrated book.  She volunteers for community organizations, and is an avid reader on topics in business, art, politics, and technology.  If you would like to contact Jeanne, she will gladly answer questions or provide additional work samples.
